My mission is to create engaging video that exceeds expectation, that is memorable and favorable, and creates a brighter more colorful world.

It all started when…

my high school English teacher gave me the opportunity to create a short film instead of writing an essay. At the age of 15 with the help of my best friends and classmates I directed my first short film; Romeo & Juliet. Quickly I began to fall in love with filmmaking and after shooting multiple shorts I decided to pursue an education at The Illinois Institute of Art in Schaumburg, IL graduating with a BFA in Digital Filmmaking & Video Production. At art school I really honed my skills and began to blossom as a young Director. Even having the honor of being selected by our teacher to direct my senior class project. After graduation I moved back to my hometown in Decatur, IL working the freelance circuit for a few months before landing my first career position at WAND the local news station as a Creative Producer eventually working my way up to Associate Creative Director.

My time at WAND was filled with growth and the knowledge I gained there will be with me forever. The gratification of bringing a client’s vision to life from writing the script to delivering the final edit is something special and very comparable to the feeling of sharing my first films with my classmates back in high school. I truly love making videos but the true joy is sharing my work with others.

In September of 2023 my wife and I moved our family from our hometown in Illinois to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and I started work at WTAE as a photographer. This was my first time working on the news side of a station and presented a unique opportunity to learn a lot about Pittsburgh in a small window of time. The constraints of editing in your car and shooting multiple assignments all due in less than a few hours time has been greatly rewarding. In just a few short months my skills have been sharpened and more on point than ever.

My dream has always been to direct a feature film and after having my first child at 18 I knew that path would not be linear. My path has been anything but linear, but at the end of the day I love creating and sharing my creations with others. My greatest creations are my children and the relationship I have created with my wife. More than anything I want to achieve my dreams, but providing for my family is always goal number one. So I will continue along my non-linear path with the confidence that someday I will direct a feature. As for my next steps I plan to get back to a creative producer position with the goal of being a creative director. There I believe I can continue to hone my video and writing skills and continue along the path to achieving my dream.
